Following the release of their collaborative album Wake Up! earlier this week, John Legend and The Roots performed at New York City’s Terminal 5 for “Unstaged,” a live concert series. Directed by filmmaker Spike Lee, the webcast featured Legend and the band playing selections from their ’60s and ’70s covers album. Jennifer Hudson joined the party for a remake of Walter Hawkins’ 1978 classic “Be Grateful” and Estelle filled in for Erykah Badu on “You Got Me.” They also tackled more modern fare with Arcade Fire’s “Wake Up.” Watch highlights from Spike Lee’s latest joint below.
